Updates From the Annex 🏠🥖
As most of you know, we are a husband-and-wife (+ toddler) business, baking from our garden annex. Being a family business means our work is deeply personal—especially when our toddler battles a 39-40°C fever for over a week. Sometimes plans have to change, and social media takes a back seat. Now that we have a moment, here are some updates from February & March:
📦 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝘅 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀: We sent our first monthly Artisan Gluten-Free Boxes in early March! Two batches of 15 each were shipped. Thank you to everyone who purchased and supported our dream. We are working on next box 😉
👩🍳 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗲𝘀: A huge thank you to Zoe from Food Works for visiting our production kitchen and for their support in refining our existing recipes.
🚚 𝗟𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀: Even though next-day delivery costs us nearly £10 per parcel, we’ve decided to 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗲𝗲 on our website to £𝟲.𝟰𝟬 (down from £7.40) to make our bakes more accessible.
🥐 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗕𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗼𝗼𝗻: We really wanted to launch our 3 brand-new bakes at the Free From Bristol event, but more than a week of high fever put those plans on hold. However, they are almost ready! Get ready for:
- a 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘆 🇫🇷,
- a 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗸𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘁 🇹🇷,
- and an 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 🌰
All are 𝗚𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗻-𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 & 𝗗𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘆-𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲, arriving in 1–2 weeks!
📈 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: After 3 years of holding our prices steady, the rising cost of ingredients means we have to adjust some of our prices by 4%–7%. We appreciate your understanding as we maintain the quality you love.
